Children like Isaac who enter foster care because they have been abused or neglected are often whisked away to a temporary home with only a few personal belongings hastily stuffed into a trash bag.

  

They have no security, nothing familiar. You can give a child something to call their own while their foster family focuses on building life-changing relationships.

 

When you give a single gift of $100 today — or commit to $25 a month — your financial donation will send a child in foster care a suitcase bundle with a new suitcase, a teddy bear, and an age-appropriate Bible.


When you share a gift today, you’ll support our Wait No More foster care and adoption program. This program connects families considering foster care or adoption to essential resources and local agencies that help with the process. It also shows local churches and communities how to support families with children in foster care in useful and practical ways.

A donation receipt will be issued for funds received in excess of the fair market value of the promotional product. The Internal Revenue Service does not allow a charitable deduction for the value of goods and services received. This value will be provided on your receipt. The needs described here reflect Focus on the Family’s ministry efforts at the time of writing and represent a ministry category that addresses particular challenges facing the families we serve. Focus on the Family is a public charity exempt from federal income tax as an organization described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All contributions to the Organization are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Our policy is to apply all gifts given toward a specific program to that program.


Occasionally, we receive more contributions than can be wisely used toward a specific project - when that happens, we use these funds to meet other pressing needs that spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ by helping to preserve traditional values and the institution of the family. Focus on the Family is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.
